Meet Our Bishop
Bishop Wilbert L. Williams was born April 16, 1951 in Louisburg, NC to the late Percy and Irene Williams. He attended public school in Louisburg, NC and graduated in 1969. In 1972 he and Janet L. Williams were joined in Holy Matrimony. To this union five children were born: Tony Williams, Belinda Burt, Jennifer Odeneal, Anthony Williams; and Timothy Williams.
Raised in the Baptist Denomination he was called into the ministry at Perry's Chapel Baptist Church in Centerville, NC in 1980. He was licensed to preach January 25, 1981 and ordained at Perry's Chapel January 18, 1982.
In June of 1982 he met Deacon Raeford Livingstone who explained the word of God
to him more plainly. After three weeks his eyes were opened to the Baptism in Jesus' name. Deacon Livingstone brought Minister Williams and his family to Ransom Way
of the Cross Church; this is where he met Elder Johnny L. Alston. In July of 1982 he and his family were baptized in Jesus name. In the same week Minister Williams went back to Perry's Chapel and witnessed to all that would listen about the baptism in Jesus name, however no one took heed.
Minister Williams never returned to the Baptist organization and started his new walk in Holiness.
