Our Story

     In 2005 while at General Convocation in Arlington, VA Bishop Leroy Cannady the Presiding Prelate stood up and announced that he needed a preacher to go to Greensboro, NC to preach. Minister Williams stood up and said he would go.

 

     In March of 2006 the Lord spoke to Minister Williams and told him to go to Greensboro, NC. Once he arrived the Lord directed him to the church which he currently Pastors. He had never noticed this church before on his visits to the Greensboro area. Through tremendous financial support from Bishop Leroy Cannady and Bishop Johnny Alston he was able to purchase and renovate the building.

 

     At the 2006 convocation in Greensboro, NC all the saints in the organization gave an abundance of monetary blessings so he could finish the job. The first service at New Ransom Temple Way of the Cross was September 24, 2006. The average attendance each Sunday has been between thirty and sixty people. There is a strong street ministry where the members go out and witness to anyone that will listen to them. Recently in June 2007 yet another door was opened so the Elder Williams could have a slot on a local television station.

     Over the course of seven years, the Lord led Elder Williams to start nine additional churches across the country: Whole Truth Temple, Kankakee, IL, Est. 2008; New Ransom Holy Temple, Fort Worth, TX, Est. 2010; New Ransom Jesus Church, Kansas City, MO, Est. 2011; New Ransom Church of the Living God, Louisville, KY, Est. 2011; New Ransom Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith, Houston, TX, Est. 2014; New Ransom Tabernacle, Terre Haute, IN, Est. 2019.

 

     On June 2, 2013 Bishop Leroy H. Cannady ordained Elder Wilbert L. Williams as Bishop of New Ransom Temple, Inc.. On this same day Pastor Rueben R. Minton was consecrated as District Elder over the Mid-West, and Assistant Pastor Anthony Williams was consecrated District Elder over the Southwest churches of New Ransom Temple, Inc.
